Tim Howells is a singer/songwriter and multi instrumentalist based in Perth, WA. Tim was born in U.K. and emigrated to Australia in 2014. He started writing songs when he was 15 years old and went on to study Popular Music at university and gained a Masters in composition. Growing up in the U.K. Tim spent most of his years playing in local bands and gigging round various towns and cities. Whilst in these bands Tim had a number of achievements including performing twice on live BBC Radio sessions, having his music played on BBC national and local radio, having an interview featured in a broadsheet newspaper, having his music reviewed in the NME, releasing music on various indie labels including Brainlove and Heliotone and supporting various artists including Editors, Asobi Seksu, It Hugs Back and James Yuill. After emigrating to Australia Tim decided to go solo and started playing his first solo gigs in 2015. Since then he has spent the last couple of years gigging around the Perth and Fremantle open mic circuits. In November he recorded his first solo EP playing all the instruments himself. He self released his debut EP titled ‘Where’d You Run?’ In February 2017.
