Hannah Smillie, aka the dynamic trio “Hannah”, burst into the Fremantle local music scene in early 2016 like Annie Oakley jumping the bar for a Dry Vermouth.
Hailing originally from Scotland, her family immigrated to our shores a decade ago when the heels of the Australian rock scene were a shadow of their former self. Falling in love with our garage rock style, Hannah has become somewhat of an Aussie expert on decades of Australian guitar vinyl that would put most locals to shame.
Now armed with her precious vintage style Hagstrom archtop and a powerful rhythm section, she is creating her own infectious guitar pop in the slip stream of everyone from The Easybeats to The Lime Spiders and even echoing a little from current female singer-songwriters like Courtney Barnett and Missy Higgins.
Hannah’s 2 nd EP “Onism” is hot off the press and ready to burn your ears with its infectious, soulful, individual, foot-tapping regalia.
